Wow! I'm blogging!!! This is my first experience
creating a blog. I always was under the impression that it would be difficult
and I needed to be a computer whiz to do it, boy was I wrong. I am truly shocked on how easy it was to
setup, create, design and add links. I read many other people's blogs while
looking for resources and fun activities to do with students, and I always
wondered how people had the time to post and keep up with it, but know I
understand that it doesn't take much time at all. Blogging is actually pretty
cool.
Being in early childhood education I would use my
Blogs for parents and teachers, not so much for students directly. It is a
great way to communicate and share ideas and resources. I can see the benefits
of blogging as a teacher. It would be a great resource to share with parents
and families. Communication with parents and families is vital for the success
of the students, it allows the parents to get involved when they have time or
when it is convenient for them. This is important because many households have
two working parents and many with signal parents, giving them the freedom to
read and/or share ideas while they are sitting on the couch in the evening, or
on their lunch break makes it a no obligation, no stress situation. I also can
see how blogging can bring teachers together. Teachers are always looking for
new ideas, new resources and ways to collaborate with each other. Blogging can
provide a free, simple and fast way to do just that.
